TCD Deanery is delighted to announce a lecture by one of our former TCD trainees in Psychiatry, Dr Zahra Legris.  Since her time in the TCD Deanery, Zahra has undertaken a Masters in Global Mental Health in London, including field work in Palestine. Zahra will deliver a talk on global mental health and on her own work.  The duration will be about 40 minutes with some time for questions.  The talk will include an introduction to global mental health, covering concepts such as equity versus equality, approaches to research, transcultural psychiatry and approaches to trauma.  The main focus will be on Zahra’s research and an overview of her experience working in Palestine, with some take home messages specific to Irish doctors in Psychiatry and their work.
