CPsychI Summer Schools 2018

The College of Psychiatrists of Ireland is pleased to announce that registration for the Psychiatry Summer School in Dublin on Friday, 24th August 2018, is now OPEN.

This one-day event is open to Medical Students within all years of study, as well as Interns and is completely free.  The full day programme and booking form are now available to view and can be downloaded here. Please be sure to return your fully completed form to Karen McCourt by emailing kmccourt@irishpsychiatry.ie – as places are limited, please be sure to book early to guarantee your place.

Organised by the Trainee Committee of the College, for this eighth consecutive year, The CPsychI Student and Intern Summer School is aimed at those who are interested in a career in Psychiatry or who simply want to find out more about the work Psychiatrists do. The timetable for the day includes interactive seminars with Consultants and Trainees in Psychiatry, as well Service Users, Carers and Family members, and tours of Psychiatry facilities.  On the day, we aim to detail the training pathway and research opportunities, as well as exploring both the cutting edge science aspects of Psychiatry and the varied career opportunities that lie within the many psychiatric specialties and subspecialties – areas of interest which are often not covered in Undergraduate teaching.  At the end of the day, you are also invited to join us for a social reception where there will be ample opportunity to informally meet with current Trainees in Psychiatry, CPsychI staff and fellow Students and Interns.

The College of Psychiatrists of Ireland is proud to continuously showcase the multifaceted and varied aspects of Psychiatry year on year, and we look forward to meeting you at the Summer School this coming August.

To book your place please download the BOOKING FORM, complete in full and return to Karen McCourt at kmccourt@irishpsychiatry.ie
