REFOCUS Recruitment 2022

External Affairs & Policy

Here you will find our mission and objectives, learn about External Affairs & Policy, our team and how we work.

Do you have lived experience of mental illness and psychiatric services, and feel you could contribute value to a well-established working group of patients, family members/carers and psychiatrists within the College? We are now seeking interest from people to join REFOCUS and would love to hear from you.

The College REFOCUS group, now in its 12th year, continues to evolve and strengthen its remit of bringing a lived experience perspective to all College objectives, business and activities. Such is the demand for REFOCUS members, and the work they carry out, that additional people are needed for the group and we are currently recruiting for patient/service users, family members/carers and psychiatrist members.

You may be interested yourself and/or you may know of someone who is appropriately placed in their recovery journey to contribute to the committee. Please feel free to get in touch with us for more information or to circulate the below call-out notice within your services, region, and/or to specific individuals.

You can view, download and print the detailed notice for potential new members below or HERE.

Those interested can submit an expression of interest which should include some summary details of personal experience, as well as reasons for interest in REFOCUS, to:
