| FULL SPECIALIST MEMBERSHIP Full Specialist membership applies to every psychiatrist working in Ireland who is eligible for the Specialist Division of the Medical Register. All Educational Supervisors and tutors must be full specialist members of the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland, be on the Specialist Register and be PCS compliant. |

| GENERAL MEMBERSHIP General Membership applies to every consultant psychiatrist who is on the General Division of the Medical Register with the Irish Medical Council. |

| POST-EXAM MEMBERSHIP This category is applicable to all non-consultant psychiatrists (NCHD’s) who are on the Trainee, General or Supervised Register and who have successfully completed the Irish Clinical Exam or equivalent. |

| RETIRED MEMBERSHIP The Retired Membership category is available only to those psychiatrists who are fully retired, no longer clinically active and are no longer on the Medical Register in Ireland. |

| PRE-EXAM TRAINEE MEMBERSHIP This category is applicable to all doctors who are on the Basic Specialist Training scheme in psychiatry and have not yet successfully completed the Irish Clinical Membership Exam. |

| AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP This category is applicable to all Non Consultant psychiatrists (NCHDs) who are on the General or Supervised division of the Irish Medical Council Register, are not in an approved training post and have not completed the Irish Clinical Membership Exam. |
