The DotMD Conference took place recently in the Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin. The conference describes itself as a ‘festival of medical curiosity’ and aimed to reconnect the art and humanity of medicine.
Prof Brendan Kelly, professor of psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin and consultant psychiatrist at Tallaght Hospital, used a personal story about a 2am stroll for a bottle of water to discuss suicide, self harm, and the power of adhering to regulations on the sale of paracetamol.
