This clinical post is based with the Liaison Psychiatry team in St Vincent’s University Hospital. The Neuropsychiatry service is a fully integrated diagnostic and therapeutic service working closely with the Neurology team. The successful candidate will work autonomously carrying out bio-psycho-social assessments, making clinical decisions and have an awareness of when to seek advice and support from senior colleagues. There are opportunities to gain experience in more specialised Neurology outpatient clinics including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, migraine and dystonia clinics. The successful candidate will have support in taking on research and/or service development projects.
Required
At least 18 months experience in psychiatry is required for this post. This post would ideally suit a trainee who has completed BST and would like to gain some further clinical and research experience prior to commencing HST.
Duration
This is a 12 month post, however applicants applying for 6 months will be considered.
