1 Whole Time Post, Temporary Full time (6 months, initially). This is a temporary post with CHO 9 Mental Health Services for 39 Hours per week on a Type A Consultant Contract.
The service will be a tertiary referral service for severely deaf people who either use Irish sign language only (ISL dependent) or culturally deaf and based on a hub and spoke model. This service will be located in Dublin which has the greatest number of severely deaf people. The hub of the service will be a multidisciplinary team in line with the community mental health team as listed above. The spokes will be mental health clinical nurse specialists based in other three regions of the country to provide the service to the whole nation population.
