To contribute to and be responsible for the development and delivery of a Psycho-oncology service in line with the NCCP Psycho-Oncology Programme plans and objectives, and within established professional standards, guidelines and policy as part of a hospital based MDT. The post holder will be expected to develop and participate in the leadership of the service, and to undertake clinical work in particular in relation to the provision of specialist clinical care for cancer patients with more severe and risky mental health problems, including psychosis, delirium and severe depression. The successful candidate will participate in an MDT providing a specialised Psycho-Oncology service, as outlined in the NCCP Psycho-Oncology Model of Care.
