At present, the Royal College of Psychiatrists' online CPD
programme is the sole online learning programme which is accredited
by The College of Psychiatry of Ireland for
External CPD Points. Members of the The
College of Psychiatry of Ireland can claim up to 10
External CPD points per year by
doing online modules on the RCPsych CPD Online website.
Internal CPD points (up to a maximum of 5 points
per year) may also be claimed for this activity.
The College does not currently have the resources to accredit
other online learning programmes. Psychiatrists who
participate on suitable online learning which fits the criteria for
CPD, may claim CPD points under the Personal CPD
category (up to a maximum of 5 points per year).
