Curriculum & Regulations Documentation - July 2016 update
There are now TWO versions of the Curriculum, one of which is revised (so as to comply with changes to the Regulations) and the other which is new as it includes significant changes to learning outcomes. Both versions of the Curriculum are required because there is a separate section of the Curriculum for each of the three stages of training (Foundation Year; BST1-3; HST) and Trainees who are already in a particular stage of training are not required to move to the new Curriculum until they move to the next stage of training.
There is only one version of the Regulations and this revision applies to all Trainees regardless of date of entry to training. However, within the Regulations there are paragraphs which apply to specific cohorts of Trainees. There are a number of minor changes throughout such as changes in formatting, changes in terminology (e.g. removing references to certificates of completion of BST and HST and referring only to certificates of satisfactory completion of specialist training – CSCST), changes of wording from “Dean of Education” to “Chief Examiner”.
